I’m Bill Meeks, your tour guide to the W.E.I.R.D.E.est town in Ohio.
Everly Heights is a fictional town in Ohio based on my hometown in the Ohio Valley: Wheeling, West Virginia. In the 90s, Everly Heights was known as the “Home of the Arts. In the modern era, it’s a rusted, busted town overrun by drugs with only one artistic venue left. In Everly Heights, you’ll find a diverse cast of characters ranging from families, actors, and punk rockers to kid detectives, wizards, and witches. Everybody in-and-around town knows each other, so you never know when a familiar face will pop up in another character’s story to lend a hand or make trouble. Each story explores a connected world with packed with history, populated by idiosyncratic characters, with twists that will surprise and delight you. Thematically, these stories attempt to answer the question “Is nostalgia a good thing or a bad thing?”
The project began as the “Hocking Hills Scripts” back in 2020. I’ve spent years building this world, brick by brick, script by script. Since 2024, I’ve been publishing books and a web comic set in the world of Everly Heights. In mid-2025, I decided to go back audio drama roots.
Everly Heights Tales

The heart of this project is the Everly Heights Tales, an anthology podcast set in the world of Everly Heights. Whether you’re looking for a laugh, a mystery, or an existential crisis, you’ll find it in the town that doesn’t let you leave. The sign on the way in says “Home of the Arts,” but the locals know the truth: it’s home to the weird, the wild, and the wonderful.
