Happy Halloween from the team here at Everly Heights Headquarters! So me and my dog Ziggy.

4 New Everly Heights Tales
I’ve been banking our “spooky season” episodes to share with you all at once. ‘Tis the season!
The Play’s The Thing (That Traps You)
Clara, a devoted usher at the historic Cornerstone Theater uncovers a chilling secret hidden within its velvet seats: a mysterious power that lets audience members live their best life. When curiosity gets the best of her, Clara is drawn into a fairy tale fantasy that feels more real than reality. But as the mysterious Zarvan winds her up, she begins to wonder what it will cost to stay in the spotlight forever.
The Quackening
Angela Craig is back in Everly Heights, and she’s not happy about it. Sleeping in her old room and haunted by a fresh divorce from her gaslighting ex, Travis, her life is a mess. That is, until she has a bizarre run-in with Beatrix Knapp and her old high school bullies, “The Sparkles”. They offer her a strange inheritance from a dead relative. Inside a magical box she’ll discover the ancestral power to make her wishes a reality. But does Angela want recovery, or revenge?
The Case of White Claw
A remastered/recut version of the Fakist Halloween story. This is a modern adaptation of Poe’s The Cask of Amontillado, set at a sorority Halloween kegger. When Madison invites her frenemy Faith down to the basement for a taste of an exclusive new White Claw flavor, things get bubbly in all the wrong ways. One sip too many, and the claws really come out… A wickedly funny tale of basic witches, haunted hard seltzers, and influencer-era evil.
Hey, Marie Molecule!
Not quite spooky, but there are skeletons! In the spirit of a classic 90s educational science show like Beakman’s World or Mr. Wizard, “Hey, Marie Molecule!” follows a young girl named Eliza, who visits the titular scientist with an anxiety-fueled question: “Will my brother become a super-villain from an X-ray?”. With the help of the good-natured Marie Molecule, Eliza learns all about science and radiation. PLUS: Marie Molecule explains a new technological innovation!
BONUS FEATURES
If you’ve been checking out the YouTube versions of Everly Heights Tales, you already know most episodes have a pretty extensive aftershow where I discuss the story and themes of the episode, or remix and remaster a relevant piece of content from my archives.
The Real Everly Heights
I take you on a tour of the inspiration for Everly Heights: Wheeling, West Virginia and show you the locations that inspired the stories, like the real Koffee Shop.
Theater Kids Never Die (They Just Forget Their Line)
From the Universe Box archives: I hash out theater stories with two former theater kids I’ve happened to live with: My old college roommate and my current spouse.
Paul Zaloom… AKA BEAKMAN!
An interview with Paul Zaloom (Beakman from Beakman’s World) about his “Everly Heights” in New York state.
The Heartbeat Behind the Songs
I break down the people who made me a musician and dig in on my musical history as half of the minor early internet sensation Classic Tragic Hero. Well, not quite a sensation, but we did have the top music video on YouTube for about a week!
Well, that’s all I have for now. I’m posting new episodes every Wednesday over on the YouTube channel, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and anywhere else fine podcasts are sold for no money.
Ta-ta for now, and remember: You can try to leave Everly Heights, but something is always going to end up pulling you back.
