STRANGE TRACKS
PANEL 1
Mr. Matheson stands in The Koffee Shop, whistling as he takes the chairs of the tables. He sees something on the floor.
MR. MATHESON
Hello, my lovely little coffee shop. I—WHAT THE !#@<?
PANEL 2
There are muddy, clawed footprints on the floor leading from the front door to the kitchen. Mr. Matheson crouches down next to the footprints, puzzled.
MR. MATHESON
These look like... troll tracks?! Eh, probably just the UPS driver. That guy hasn’t been the same since the strike...
PANEL 3
Mr. Matheson cleans the tracks with his mop.
MR. MATHESON
Or a coffee monster, maybe… Customers won't like a coffee monster running around! It's unsanitary.
PANEL 4
In the background, Nosloo the great is hiding behind a bag of coffee beans, peeking out with glowing eyes.
NOSLOO
(thinking)
If he means monsters who like coffee, I'm screwed.

“Strange Tracks” – Mr. Matheson’s Arithme-TIPS for December 3, 2024

I hope everybody had a great holiday and checked out our theme week "Thanksgiving Through The Years." It was a lot of fun making them, and it gave me a chance to put my new tools through their paces. Hopefully they are good enough now that people on Reddit will stop calling this strip out as AI-assisted and start paying attention to the story, character, and themes. You know, the stuff I created the old fashioned way, scratched out on a legal pad between slurps of coffee.

This week, we launch into our first full-on crossover with one of the original Everly Heights scripts Nosloo the Great. Nosloo is a dark troll wizard from the Land of Fee-Nee who falls through a portal and lands in Everly Heights with no way to return to his home or his beloved Brenda. Nosloo (along with Jim Colvin, agent of W.E.I.R.D.E.) are also major characters in the first Everly Heights novel, Infinite Tina: Worlds Apart. Check out the links below to get to know Nosloo, then come back tomorrow for another edition of Arithme-TIPS.

Latch on to learning!
